1. Payment

Payment for the reservation can be made by credit card or any other method of payment accepted by the Hôtel du Cheval Blanc. The credit card used for the reservation must be presented at the reception desk, along with proof of identity, upon check-in.

The credit card is used solely to guarantee the reservation and will not be charged immediately, except in the following cases:

If the card’s expiration date is earlier than the arrival date.

If the reservation is made as part of a prepaid, non-modifiable, and non-cancellable offer. In this case, the total amount of the stay will be charged upon confirmation of the reservation.

The Hotel also reserves the right to pre-authorize the credit card prior to arrival, which may result in a temporary hold on funds in the bank account.

2. I accept the booking conditions and terms and conditions of use

By confirming your booking, you agree to the following conditions:

Credit card: The credit card used is only used to guarantee the booking, except in the cases mentioned above.

Special offers: Special offers or non-refundable offers may incur non-refundable fees in the event of cancellation or modification.

Special conditions: Certain offers, such as non-modifiable rates, may have special conditions that are clearly stated at the time of booking.

3. Cancellation policy

• Standard cancellation: Cancellations are permitted free of charge up to 48 hours before the arrival date.

  Late cancellation and no-show: In the event of cancellation after this deadline or failure to show up at the hotel (no-show), an amount equivalent to the first night of the stay will be charged to the credit card provided as a guarantee. The rest of the stay will be canceled at no charge.

  Non-refundable offers: Some special offers or promotions may be non-modifiable and non-cancelable. You are invited to read the specific conditions before making your reservation.

4. Modification or cancellation of a reservation

For any modification (change of dates, name, number of people, etc.) or cancellation of a reservation, you must contact us by email at eden@gerhotel.fr.

Modifications are subject to availability.

Cancellations may incur fees depending on the specific conditions of the offer chosen (free cancellation or special conditions).

5. Secure transaction

All personal information transmitted during your booking is encrypted and secured by SSL (Secure Socket Layer), one of the most reliable systems for data protection. This ensures that your information cannot be intercepted by third parties.

6. Personal data

The Hôtel du Cheval Blanc undertakes to comply with current legislation on the protection of personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data collection: Personal data collected during the booking process (surname, first name, contact details, credit card information) is used exclusively for the purpose of processing your booking and improving our services.

User rights: In accordance with data protection legislation, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, transfer, and object to the use of your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact the Hôtel Eden Opera at eden@gerhotel.fr.

Data retention: Data is retained for a maximum of three years after the last contact.

7. Applicable law and dispute resolution

These terms and conditions are governed by French law.

8. Right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal, provided for in Article L221-18 of the Consumer Code, does not apply to accommodation services, which are provided on a specific date or during a specific period.

Comments:

Cancellation fees are clearly stated, but it may be useful to add detailed information about possible changes (change fee, conditions for changing the length of stay).

Payment by credit card is clearly specified and the information about pre-authorization is clear.

The management of personal data complies with the GDPR, with an explicit mention of users’ rights.
